Cover that works in the rain as well as the sun, using the DriZ waterproof range.
Standard shade cloth is a mesh. It blocks sun and lets water through. A waterproof structure uses a different fabric entirely, so the space underneath stays dry as well as shaded.
Which one you want depends on the space. Over a pool, a mesh that lets rain through is often preferable. Over an entertaining area, a dining terrace or a walkway between buildings, waterproof usually wins.

Worth being precise about terms. A shade sail and a waterproof structure are different products in different fabrics. If a quote says waterproof, check which fabric it is actually specifying.
